Apply for Cohort 2The Mandate
Suluhu Studio applies Design Intelligence to high-stakes client problems. Daro exists for a different mandate — to make the discipline accessible, teachable, and self-sustaining across African organizations. Where Studio delivers intelligence, Daro builds the capacity to generate it.
Daro operates with its own identity anchored to the Suluhu ecosystem. Its mandate is to eventually stand alone as Africa's reference institution for strategic design practice. Not a design school. Not a bootcamp. A school of strategic decision-making through design.
How Daro teaches
Structured multi-session programs where participants work through real strategic challenges together. Designed for founders, operators, and senior practitioners who need a structured diagnostic discipline.
Focused short courses for individual practitioners at every level — designers, product managers, engineers, and operators who want to apply Design Intelligence thinking independently. A credential that signals a different kind of thinking.
Daro comes to your organization. Bespoke capability-building programs for entire teams — from leadership to practitioners. Because a leader with the right skills and a team without them creates a different kind of problem.
A structured three-session program that gives African founders the diagnostic discipline to make better product and market decisions — before committing resources to the wrong direction.
When From 17th August 2026
Session 01
Where is your product/system resisting progress?
Locate the resistance points in your current product, service, or market strategy. Map what is actually happening versus what you assumed would happen. Leave with a prioritized intervention list.
Session 02
What actually matters inside all this data?
Audit the research, data, and feedback your organization is sitting on. Separate what you have verified from what you have assumed. Leave with a clear read of where your actual knowledge gaps are.
Session 03
When is it actually time to build?
Evaluate the readiness of your next major decision — a new product, a market entry, a pivot. Apply the Build Threshold to determine whether yes is the right answer or not yet is the more defensible position.

This programme is for
Founders and senior operators facing significant product, market, or organizational decisions who need a structured diagnostic discipline before committing.
This programme is not for
Founders who have decided everything already and need execution only. This program is for leaders whose decisions are still open enough to be improved.
The flagship programme
The Founders' Diagnostic is Daro's flagship programme. Three sessions across three weeks, in person and online, with a maximum of 12 participants per cohort.
More from Daro
Daro is building Africa's reference curriculum for Design Intelligence — programs for founders, practitioners, team leads, and entire organizations. These programs are in development and will be announced as they open for enrollment.

The definition
What Daro is
Practice-based learning
Every program is built around real decisions and live challenges — not theory applied in isolation.
Grounded in African context
African market conditions and organizational dynamics are not edge cases here — they are the premise.
Built around three frameworks
The Friction Map, Signal Stack, and Build Threshold. Every program applies at least one to a real problem.
For every level of the organization
From founders to practitioners. A leader with the right skills and a team without them creates a different kind of problem.
What Daro is not
A portfolio course or UI/UX certification
Daro teaches the discipline that precedes craft — how to decide what to design before designing it.
A generic design thinking workshop
Design thinking assumes conditions that do not hold in most African organizational contexts. Daro was built for that gap.
Imported frameworks without adaptation
Every Daro program is designed for African market conditions — not translated from a Western context and relabeled.
A substitution for professional experience
Daro accelerates judgment for people who are already operating. It is not an entry-level program.
